Don Russell
I was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1954. After a varied work life in the Forestry Commission, Pensions, Oil Rig Construction I moved south and for the last 30 years I was a social worker in inner city Birmingham and latterly in Hospice Care. I retired in 2015 and began writing seriously. I have recently had a number of writings included in an anthology ” 20 Years of Second Thursdays ” published by Wythall Writer’s Group. I have also co-written and independently published a book of three short stories titled Grandad Pauls Tales from Walking Football. I write for the joy of it. I have a novel still scattered between my computer, bits of paper and in my head. Maybe one day.
I live with my wife on the outskirts of Birmingham. I have three children and six grandchildren. I am a fortunate man.
